New SMS Regulations Are Coming to Canada and the US. These laws are intended to prevent spam SMS texting from becoming common place.

Any Canadian or US company that sends SMS/text message after March 31, 2023 needs to follow this process or they will be fined and unable to send SMS/text. 

This applies to any company that simply sends text/sms messages directly from the cloud platform to another person. It’s not just for mass messaging campaigns.
